I didn't learn logistics in a boardroom — I learned it in the trenches.

I remember my first few weeks as a package handler at FedEx over a decade ago — surrounded by chaos, constantly asking myself, "Why are things like this? That doesn't seem very efficient. Why is everyone yelling?"

I climbed the ladder through multiple warehouses, eventually moving from the loading dock to the manager's office and then the driver's seat. I realized the problem was never the people — it was the systems.
